DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 4 (Four): (1) Chauncey Jerome, miniature column and cornice clock, 30 hour, time and strike, spring driven movement in a grain painted wood case, c1850; (2) Waterbury Clock Co., "Hastings" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a walnut case, c1881; (3) Seth Thomas Clock Co., "Cottage" clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a rosewood veneer case, c1880; (4) E.N. Welch, "Peerless" clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a wood case, c1872.
CONDITION:
(1) Original finish has turned quite dark. Veneer loss to lower right corner. Some paint loss on the dial around mounting screws. Decent inner label. Return molding missing on one top edge. Reverse tablet now replaced with clear glass. (2) Finish dark and with scratches. Painted metal dial soiled. Decal added to glass door. (3) Some veneer loss around the base. Dial is worn. Reverse painted glass has faded. (4) Case finish has turned very dark. Probably a replaced dial. Dimensions are for the Jerome.
